The "Antim Ivireanu" Christian Foundation has been set up in November 1999 by Mrs. Ada Mihaela Calciu and Mrs. Cristina Valentina Diaconu. It has been registered as a legal person at the Civil Section V of the Bucharest Court in the session of 8th February 2000.

The Foundation bank accounts no. 2511.1 - 585.1 / ROL and 2511.1 - 585.2 foreign currency (DEM) are open at the Romanian Commercial Bank - Grivita Subsidiary.

The purpose of the Foundation is to:

• Provide support to abandoned children and old-age people astablishments.
• Cover every-day needs for non-institutionalized people having a precarious financial status.
• Initiate and develop educational and religious programs aiming at preserving and consolidating family relationships.
• Organize conferences, seminars, symposiums and other events related to the Foudation object.
